Teleseminars – A Great Marketing Tool for All Businesses – Talk Your Way to Success

Teleseminars – A Great Marketing Tool for All Businesses – Talk Your Way to Success[EXTRACT]
You often see speakers, coaches, authors, and other business owners offering free teleseminars. Now, we’ve always been taught to not give our time away for FREE, so is this a good idea or not? Fortunately, this is different and is actually a highly recommended marketing tool. Offering free teleseminars to highlight your expertise can lead to more business success. We’ll show you why here.Perhaps the best (and the real money maker) reason to offer these teleseminars is to promote a paid event. (Bingo, that’s what you wanted to hear!) It’s a perfect way to share your expertise to your audience and show them why they should sign up for your upcoming paid event. Additional benefits include adding to your marketing list and the potential to find new clients who will listen to your talk and know that you have what they are looking for.But for a teleseminar to be successful you need to do it right. Here are some great tips to help you get there:
Don’t bore the audience. Keep it fun and engaging while offering solid, relevant content. No one wants to attend a teleseminar where the entire time is spent promoting your event and not giving any useful tips or information.
Think about your audience. What would interest them most? Make sure to talk to them on those topics.
Keep in mind people are busy, so keep your teleseminar within a reasonable time limit. Thirty minutes to an hour is plenty. Those five-hour teleseminars just put people to sleep. It’s hard to engage your audience for that long.
Focus around HOT topics. Nothing can get more people to your teleseminars than to have one on a topic that is HOT HOT HOT. (Think how often Facebook changes the rules; that alone is a year’s worth of material.)
Provide your top 5 to 10 secrets. People love to hear your secrets, your best stuff, what makes you a success, what they don’t know and you do. Be sure to include those in your talk.
Provide content for all levels. You might have some who are new and know little, some who know enough to be dangerous, but need more detailed information on specific topics, and then some whose knowledge is more advanced and they just want some top tips. Be mindful of that and touch on content that will help those at all levels. Now, you can have additional teleseminars focusing more on each level, but keep this in mind for your initial talk.
Do promote your product or upcoming event. You can mention it throughout the talk and at the end provide more detail, but make sure you don’t oversell. Your audience will be interested in what you have after they hear your expertise, but if you push too hard, they will be turned off and lose their trust.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
But wait, you aren’t done yet. It’s important after your call to send out an email with the recording and additional information. This is best done the same day while it is still fresh on everyone’s mind. In that email, you should include a nice note about how you enjoyed the teleseminar and thanking those who attended. Then share your promotion outlining clearly how they can purchase it. (Double and triple-check the link to the sales page. You don’t want your hard work to go unrewarded because you don’t have the right information.) And finally, give them a special to the event you described, and make it worthwhile for them, not just $2.00 off. You want them to feel good about attending your event so they will want to attend the next one you host, as well.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
See how easy it is to do. Go ahead, start planning a teleseminar series now. Also, remember if you need help developing a series, look for an online support specialist to assist. They can be instrumental in getting it done.

How to Find the Perfect Home Business For You

How to Find the Perfect Home Business For You[EXTRACT]
People throughout the USA, people are seeking work at home. There are some “jobs” available where the employee can work at home. It is difficult to find legitimate jobs, however, and there are limited positions available. So, a large percentage of the people who want to work from home are choosing to start their own home businesses. There are a variety of reasons for the increase in home businesses.o Many want to supplement their income. They work an outside j-o-b, but they’re simply not earning enough to pay their bills in today’s economy.o Stay-at-home moms and dads often want to contribute to the family income while they actually “parent” their children. More and more parent in the generation currently raising young children place a higher priority than their parents did on staying at home with their children, rather than having caregivers raise them. But they must sacrifice some of the “extras,” because a single-income family often does not earn enough money – particularly in the present economy. A good compromise for these parents is a home business.o Many retirees either want to stay busy after a lifetime of working; and many others cannot get by on Social Security and whatever savings or pension they may have. Rather than getting a job where once again they must punch a time clock and fight traffic, for retirees, a home business is a great option.o Those with disabilities may not be able to afford to live on disability income (SSDI) alone; and many do not qualify for it, although they are unable to hold a job.Finding reputable companies with whom to work can be time consuming and challenging. There are hundreds, if not thousands of ads on the Internet that are scams, compared to the relatively few that are respectable companies with real products. Just spending an hour or two on the Internet seeking home businesses will result in discovering many that have no products and/or services. They are in existence simply to recruit others into their “business.” They often promise huge incomes, while in reality, only a very few will truly earn any income at all. And, of course, there are the companies that tell you that your computer will do all the work while you sleep! Unfortunately, there are people who will believe this and invest money into these businesses, only to learn they were “ripped off.”Most home businesses are network or multi-level marketing. Many well-known financial “gurus” recommend network marketing. Unlike the “pyramids” of the past, with network marketing and a good product or service, nearly anyone who works hard can be successful. With multi-level marketing companies, at some point, if not at the very beginning, business owners can earn additional income from the sales of those who they bring into the business, their “downline.” With some network marketing companies, you will earn from only those who you personally enrolled, while others pay for two, three or unlimited levels in your downline.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
So, how do you determine which home businesses are reputable and which one is a good fit for you? There are many excellent companies, but no one business is right for everyone looking for work at home.Research is extremely important when starting your own home business. If you have heard of the company and used their product or service, it will simplify your decision. Through the Internet, it is not difficult to thoroughly check out a company before investing any money.o How many and what kinds of complaints are listed on the Better Business Bureau website regarding the company you are researching? How did the company handle the complaints? Were problems resolved satisfactorily? Many excellent companies have complaints filed against them for various reasons. A former home business owner who was not successful may blame the company for their failure, when they simply did not work their business or did not take advantage of the training available through their company.o Is the company a member in good standing of any well-known associations or organizations?o Work-at-home forums often reveal information about various home businesses. You have to be careful here though, because again, a disgruntled former business owner may not tell the entire truth.o Ask many questions. Determine the true cost of working the home business you are researching. Is there a start-up cost? Is there a monthly fee? If there is a monthly fee, do you receive benefits in exchange? Is there adequate training and support? What is the cost of the training, and how is it provided? There are companies that tell you there is no start-up cost, but then they charge hundreds of dollars for the training – and you may have to travel great distances for training. The better companies will offer unlimited training by phone, Internet and email.o Learn about the product or service being offered. Would you buy it? What is the cost of the product? No matter how great the product, if it is expensive, you may not be able to sell it, particularly in today’s economy. If there are similar products available at stores – even if it is not as good a product – at a lower price, it likely will be difficult to market.o Does the company provide leads, or do you have to acquire them yourself? If you have to acquire them, how and where does the company recommend you do so?o Ask about advertising policies. Can you advertise on the Internet, in newspapers, in the phone book, radio or TV? Will the recruiter teach you how and where to advertise?o Determine whether the company pays a one-time commission or residual income. With residual commission, you will earn money from each customer/client as long as they keep paying. This generally applies to businesses that sell memberships or services, not products. For instance, the client pays a monthly membership fee, and you earn a percentage of that fee each month.Once you have researched the company itself, it is a good idea to get to know the person that is recruiting you. In most situations, that is the person who will be training you. Are you comfortable speaking with the recruiter? Is he/she easy to understand (accent, slurred words, talks too fast)? Do you feel as though they are pressuring you to sign with them? Do they sound desperate or as though they are rushing you to make a decision? Are they flattering you too much, sounding as though it’s what they tell every prospect? Have they trained others, or will you be their first? Do you feel as though they are providing honest answers to your questions, or do they hesitate too long before answering? Ask them about their availability for support and training.Once you feel comfortable with the recruiter, the product and the company, it’s time to take a good look at yourself. Will you, and can you, apply yourself to your home business? Are you able to work the required minimum hours necessary to succeed? If you plan to work the business part-time, ten hours a week is the minimum number of hours you need to actually work. If you want to earn a full-time income, expect to work at least 25 hours a week.Are you comfortable talking – either in person or by phone – to strangers? Although you may begin your business talking with your own network of friends, family or neighbors, but eventually you’ll have to approach strangers. Will you take it personally if a prospect says “no?” It takes many “no’s” to get just one “yes,” so you must be prepared to be told “no” many times without your feelings being hurt.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Are you going to just give the business “a try?” If so, you will likely fail. If, after you’ve completed your research, you do not truly believe you can be successful, you probably will not. If you do not really believe in the product or service you will be marketing, you will have a difficult time doing so.Do you expect to be earning a living with your business in six months? It is highly unlikely. All real businesses take time to build. If you are unwilling to commit to at least one year working and building your business, you are wasting your time and money starting a home business. If you consider other businesses outside the home, rarely are they successful immediately. Think of an independent restaurant (not a chain with a built-in reputation), a hair salon or a privately-owned retail store. They all take time to build their clientele or customer base, and business advisors often tell new business owners to expect to make no profit for the first year! Most home businesses can be earning a profit sooner, but don’t expect it to happen within your first few weeks. Although it happens occasionally, for most it does not.Finally, are you “coachable?” Can you and will you follow the instructions of your recruiter, or are you a person who likes to find a “new way” to do everything, trying to “reinvent the wheel?” In most established home businesses, there is a “system” in place that has proven to be successful. If you cannot duplicate that system into your own business, you may have a difficult time growing your own business.The best way to become a successful business owner is by being patient, with your research of the prospective company and your business once you start it, and by constantly learning from people within your own company and the many motivational speakers and authors who teach how to succeed. If you truly commit yourself to your business after you have thoroughly researched it, you will succeed as long as you don’t quit at the first hurdle.

MLM Business Building Tips – The Single Most Important Thing You Should Know

MLM Business Building Tips – The Single Most Important Thing You Should Know[EXTRACT]
What is the most important MLM business building tip?Some would say that having extensive product knowledge is the most important factor in building a MLM business, while others would say that being able to explain your MLM compensation plan is the key.There’s another school of network marketers that say the most important factor in building an MLM business is the quality of your marketing and your ability to generate high quality leads.Some network marketers would say that it’s your sales skills and how well you can overcome objections in the prospecting process that will lead to your success in MLM.Although all of these aspects are important for building an MLM business, the best tip that I’ve ever heard is;-People only do business with people they know, like and trustThis is a saying that applies to all businesses but I feel it’s particularly relevant for building an MLM business.Let’s analyze each of the elements — know, like and trust:It’s Not What You Know but Who Knows YouPeople have built their MLM businesses in the past mostly through people that they already know. The most common way is to write up a list of all the people that they know and then approach them about their business. This is typically referred to as the warm market.Dealing with your warm market or people that already know you has its advantages but the major problem is that the majority of the people that you approach will not be interested in starting a business. This is a very un-targeted way to get prospects.Thanks to the Internet people are able to get to know about you and who you are very easily. If you do some simple marketing, people will be attracted to you through your articles, blog posts, Facebook posts, videos and other social media outlets.When you get to the point of speaking with these people on the telephone about your business, there will be a sense that they already know you.People don’t need to feel like you are their long lost friend to want to do business with you, as long as they have a good sense of who you are and what you represent, it will be enough to start a business relationship.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Over time that relationship may develop into a deep life-long friendship or it may just be a mutually beneficial business relationship.Do People Like You?If people don’t like you then there is a very slim chance that they will decide to partner with you in business, no matter how good your opportunity may seem. There have been many surveys done as to why people decided to join a MLM business and the overwhelming majority join because of the person that introduced them rather than the company or product.Luckily humans aren’t a one size fits all and like attracts like. With good marketing you can be yourself and attract the people that like your particular style of doing business. The old saying that you can’t please everyone is definitely the case here.Can I trust You?Perhaps the biggest factor in building a MLM business is the trust factor. If people don’t trust what you say then they will never do business with you…full stop. When you are authentic and truthful in your marketing and prospecting, people will sense that and naturally trust you.Trust is also gained over time by doing exactly what you say you will do. If you say you will call at a certain time — you absolutely must do that. If you say you will mail something — it has to be in their letterbox in a timely manner.Not following through on what you promise to do is the quickest way to lose trust with your prospects. Even a simple thing like not sending an email will eat away at your trust rankings. A couple of seemingly minor slips will crush your chances of getting people to join you in your business.The MLM Prospecting ProcessIf you are using the Internet and attraction marketing principles to attract prospects into your MLM business opportunity then the chances are that they will already have a sense that they know you. Another excellent way to build up trust is to use testimonials on your website.Using this kind of approach gives you a huge head start over people that are purchasing MLM leads. When you purchase MLM leads, those people don’t know you from a bar of soap and it takes a lot of skill to break the ice to the point where they feel they know, like and trust you.When you are working with your warm market to build your MLM business you obviously don’t have to get over these barriers but the people that you know most likely aren’t looking to join a business so that is just as hard as working with prospects that don’t know you.There is an old saying in the marketing world that holds true:- A mediocre sales message delivered to the perfect prospect is infinitely more powerful than a perfect message delivered to the wrong prospectWhen you attract people that are looking for what you have to offer you don’t need tricks and sharp sales skills to get business.The first contact…When someone has come through your marketing process there comes a point where you will need to make personal contact (usually via the telephone). The best possible scenario is when your prospect has contacted you (usually via email) to ask for more information about what you do.Even though your prospect feels like they know you, it’s still very easy to blow it on the first contact if you are too pushy and try to hard sell them or try to get them to make a decision too quickly.The secret to building a MLM business is having a large pool of prospects that you are developing a relationship with over time.Building A MLM Business = Building RelationshipsHere are some points to consider when you get to the phase of speaking with your prospects that you have generated through your marketing;
During the first conversation you will want to ask focused questions and then listen very carefully. Be an active listener and ask for clarification on anything that you don’t understand. As a rule you should follow the 80/20 principle – you listen for 80% of the conversation and speak for 20%. Most sales people and MLM distributors get it back the front. Avoid a sales pitch at all costs!
Position yourself as an expert and leader. When people are coming to you looking for a business they will have questions and concerns. If you can help your prospect understand aspects about the MLM industry and what to lookout for — what pitfalls to avoid, they will be more motivated to work with you. People are looking for leaders and people that can help them get what they want, not a company or product!
The quickest way to build a relationship with a prospect is to understand what it is that they want on a deep level. If someone tells you that they want X amount of money, don’t leave it at that. Ask them why they want that money. If they tell you that their child is a talented musician and their deep desire is to send them to a music academy then you have something to work with. Later when you are talking about your business opportunity, you can talk about how there is potential to earn an income that would allow them to achieve their goal of sending their child to the music academy of their dreams. Now your MLM business opportunity actually has a meaning that is relative to them and their dreams and aspirations. If you are too busy talking about how great your company is then you’ll never get to know this sort of information and your prospect will never feel as though you truly know and understand them.
Take detailed notes of every conversation that you have with a prospect. Rarely will a person join your business after one conversation. Sometimes it may take months or even years before a person is ready to do business with you. Keeping good notes will allow you to refer back to previous conversations and this will refresh your memory about things that are important to them. Your prospects will feel valued when you remember details about their dreams, their spouse and their children. This is one way to build trust and have people like you. When you remember details about people they feel important and everyone likes people that make THEM feel important.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Having an excellent system to keep all of these details about your prospects is the key to building a successful MLM business. There are some excellent contact management systems that are designed to allow you to do this.

Jumpstart Your Business Right Now – Get More Clients, More Money and More Free Time for Yourself!

Jumpstart Your Business Right Now – Get More Clients, More Money and More Free Time for Yourself![EXTRACT]
Do you need to get back in the swing of things with your business after the holidays and not sure where to begin?Are you feeling stuck on what to do or where to do it?Well, the first thing I would tell most of you is to get networking! Jump right up from your desk, bring a stack of business cards and attend some events pertinent to your business right off the bat. This is the best way to generate new leads and new contacts; just do it, don’t think about it. This might be tough or uncomfortable and you might want to ‘ease’ your way back into those circles, but don’t do it. Otherwise it could take you up to three months to get back on track.Get networking now to chamber events, trade or association meetings, business events or expos – anything where your target market will be. Afterwards, you’ll be forced to follow up and the whole marketing cycle begins again!Follow up you say? What’s that? Well, in my experience only about 5% of small business people do this on a regular basis, however it can be the single most effective way to attract and retain new business and referrals. What are you waiting for? No one is going to do your networking or your follow up for you.To effectively follow up with new prospects, new contacts or anyone in general you can do any or all of the following:1. Mail a handwritten note with your business card”It was great to meet you, let’s get together for coffee to see how we might be able to work together. When are you available next week?”

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
2. Send a personal email”It was great to meet you, this is what I do now tell me what it is that you do so that we might be able to refer business to each other.”3. Make a phone call to say”It was great to meet you, how could we help refer business to each other?”Not only do you need to follow up with these people within 48 hours of meeting them, but you need to follow up again and again and again. Find new approaches each time, ask them questions, ask them for coffee, mail them a list of your services, drop off a promotional item and your brochure or email them an article you read that you thought they might be interested in.Persistence is the key. If a lead is really warm to hot, you will want to follow up or contact them at least four times. If they turn you down at all or tell you no, keep trying different angles, kill them with kindness, refer a potential client to them, show them you give without expecting to receive. Most of the time, with persistence, you can win the sale or meeting.Now, I can hear some of you thinking, “Ok, the follow up isn’t the problem, it’s the actual networking, talking to people I don’t know in a big crowd.”Well, what I say to that is get over it!Take some public speaking courses, do a lot of practicing in front of the mirror or a friend, or you can even join Toastmasters or a business referral organization which will help you fine tune your 10, 30 or 60 second commercial. If all else fails or none of this appeals to you, too bad, do it anyway.Let’s face it, running your own business is tough, you don’t always get to do the things you like to do, sometimes you have to do the things you don’t like to do – so get used to it and fake it ’til you make it.The trick to networking for those who are shy or who don’t like crowds or small talk is to ask a lot of questions and ask for other people’s business cards. Don’t worry about talking about yourself or passing out your cards, just worry about the other person and getting their card. Ask them lots of questions about them, their life, their business, their target market, what kind of referrals they like to receive, etc. Because you can always follow up later and send them your card and info!An important thing to remember when networking is to make sure you wear a clear, professional nametag so when you’re busy talking about other people and what they do at these events, they can still read your name, business and what you do on your shirt so in case they are interested in what you do, they will ask.So, now that you’ve started networking, doing your follow up and the leads and referrals might be starting to trickle in, what else is there? How are you marketing your business? Do you have a written marketing plan that you refer to and update on a regular basis? If not, write one. There are free seminars offered in most cities by the SBA or other Business Centers who are there to be a resource to small business owners or of course that’s something I can help you with too in my 1-On-1 Marketing Planning Meeting.

For those of you who really need some alone time to rejuvenate and prepare to get back to business, try a weekend retreat for yourself. Go away from your home and your office for 2 days, stay over night if you can in a hotel or spa retreat to gather your thoughts and plan the coming year.During this retreat, you will want to write down every idea or creative thought that comes into your head. Then you want to plot out on a big calendar any annual events, promotions, sales or focuses for your business. Along with those, you will want to outline timelines or deadlines for needed tasks or items in order to accomplish those such as book a hotel conference room for the client appreciation event and order and send invitations. Plot those on the calendar too allowing ample time to accomplish each item. Don’t forget to add in your personal vacations and family time too – you have to do this to keep balance in your life for sure but if you don’t calendar it right off the bat, that time gets eaten up doesn’t it??Your client base is your most valuable marketing resource so keep adding to it, following up with everyone on it and work them for repeat business and referrals and you will succeed. If you keep reaching or spending money trying only to get new business and forgetting about the old contacts and clients you will most likely fail.Now, get networking!
